Khanye Names Six Player Chiefs Should Sign

Former Kaizer Chiefs winger Junior Khanye has named six players Amakhosi should look at signing before the window closes, including former midfielder Khama Billiat.

Amakhosi have brought in seven new players so far, namely Bongani Sam, Fiacre Ntwari, Rushwin Dortley, Gaston Sirino, Inacio Miguel, Bradley Cross and Njabulo Blom, but Khanye believes they need to add more firepower and options upfront.

With the window closing in nine days, Chiefs still have a little time left to add more players to Nasreddine Nabi’s squad, with the new Amakhosi coach confirming he wants quality over quantity and is still looking for a striker.

Khanye believes the Glamour Boys should look to their Tshwane rivals and also weigh up bringing Khama Billiat back to Naturena.

“They are supposed to buy attackers and midfielders,” the iDiskiTV analyst told this website.

“I’m saying they must go for [Sipho] Mbule, Chiefs got money. Mbule and [Siphele] Mkhulise, even if they are not playing [regularly], they were playing Champions League.

“Mkhulise is quality, Mbule is quality. If Chiefs signed those two players, and bring back Khama Billiat. He’s got quality, I rate him highly. He was born with quality, he needed the confidence and the surrounding.

“Keanu Cupido, the centre-back. If they brought him and the right-back who went to Pirates, Deano [van Rooyen]. I thought Chiefs could’ve signed him.

“And the defender from Stellenbosch as well, [Ismail] Toure or [Thabo] Moloisane, one between those two. Go all out. Bring in Ricardo Goss. They should’ve broken their bank for Goss.”
