Khiba Reacts To ‘Easy’ Stellies Move

New Stellenbosch FC signing Thato Khiba is eyeing growth and silverware after sealing a January transfer move to the Cape Winelands side from TS Galaxy.

Khiba joined Stellies on what the club described as a permanent deal from TS Galaxy earlier this week as Jayden Adams’s replacement after the latter moved to Mamelodi Sundowns.

Khiba made his debut for Stellies in their 5-0 thrashing of AmaZulu on Thursday night’s one-sided Betway Premiership affair and was involved in the creation of the side’s fourth goal.

Talking to club’s website, the 28-year-old also said the side’s style of play was one of the factors that influenced him to make the decision to move to the Western Cape.

“I’m very happy to be here and to be part of the Stellenbosch Football club,” said Khiba on www.stellenboschfc.com.

“It’s a beautiful club and town and an all-round good environment. Stellenbosch is also a real football-playing team, so it wasn’t a difficult decision for me to make to join the club.

“It’s a change of scenery for me but as a player I have to grow so I’m very happy to be here. Every player wants to win trophies and I’m hoping to achieve that with the team and to contribute towards that goal”.
