Kaizer Chiefs will retain the services of Cavin Johnson and he will go back to his old role and continue as Head of the Academy.
Johnson joined Amakhosi in September as Head of Academy, but quickly took over as the interim coach in October after Molefi Ntseki was shown the door following a poor start to the 2023/24 campaign.
The former SuperSport United mentor started with four wins in seven games before the Africa Cup of Nations break, but experienced a difficult second half of the campaign, with Amakhosi finishing outside the top eight after adding just two more wins.
The club management are in process of making wholesome changes to the technical team and are set to announce Nasreddine Nabi as their new head coach. The Tunisian tactician will add Fernando Da Cruz as first assistant coach, goalkeeper coach Ilyes Mzoughi, and strength and conditioning Majdi Safi.
Meanwhile, iDiski Times understands that Johnson has been retained by the club and he will go back to his role as Head of the Academy, overseeing the club’s youth academy and scouting network.
Amakhosi are yet to make any official announcement on their changes to the technical team and playing stuff.
