Orlando Pirates goalkeeper Sphamandla Gumede is on the verge of being loaned out for the second successive season.
Gumede spent last season on loan at Orbit College in the Motsepe Foundation Championship where he struggled to get game-time.
The former Dondol Stars keeper returned to the Buccaneers after his loan spell at Orbit College but hasn’t been training with the Mayfair outfit, according to a close source and he won’t be traveling with the club to Spain for pre-season.

Information received by this publication states that he could be going out on loan once again, with the club still looking for options in the DStv Premiership and Motsepe Foundation Championship.
Bucs have two goalkeepers already in Sipho Chaine and Melusi Buthelezi, while Richard Ofori left the club after his contract ended. Pirates also have a reserve goalkeeper – Zoey Monyepao – who features for the club’s DStv Diski Challenge side.
