Ugandan goalkeeper Salim Magoola has completed a move to Durban City ahead of the new season, iDiski Times has learnt.
The 31-year-old shot-stopper joins the Citizens on a free transfer after becoming a free agent following his departure from Richards Bay at the end of last season.
He had been with the Natal Rich Boyz since July 2022, having joined from Motsepe Foundation Championship side, the now-defunct Pretoria Callies.
The 31-year-old made 85 appearances across all competitions for Richards Bay, keeping 34 clean sheets in the process.
However, Magoola found game time limited last season, featuring in just seven matches across all competitions — six in the Betway Premiership and one in the Nedbank Cup.
His services have now been secured by the Durban-based side, who are strengthening their goalkeeping department after parting ways with Darren Keet and Ayanda Mtshali.
Both goalkeepers hung up their gloves at the end of last season, bringing their playing careers to an end.
