Zukile Kewuti could be returning to Maritzburg United just six months after leaving the club.
Kewuti left the Team of Choice in December after his contract was terminated by the club amid the arrival of Fadlu Davids.
In January, he joined Gavin Hunt’s Supersport United on a short-term contract, which expired at the end of June.
But due to a lack of game-time and impact, the versatile player was told by Matsatsantsa that his contract won’t be renewed.
This publication can confirm that Maritzburg are in talks with Kewuti and several other former top-flight players, as they look to rebuild their squad for the Motsepe Foundation Championship.
Former AmaTuks coach Zipho Dlangalala was confirmed as new head coach last week as the successor of Davids with a clear mandate to win promotion back to the DStv Premiership.
