New Kaizer Chiefs signing Khanyisa Mayo has sent a message to Amakhosi fans, expressing his excitement about his “return home”.
Chiefs announced the signing of the 27-year-old will join the team as 11th signing on Friday evening.
Mayo returns to South Africa a year after leaving Cape Town City for CR Belouizdad. But despite scoring six and setting up one more in 41 appearances, he wasn’t registered for this season’s squad, which allowed Amakhosi to pounce.
On Friday, Mayo sent an unveiling message to the club’s fans.
“Hello Amakhosi nation, this is Khanyisa Mayo. I’m very excited to tell you that I’m coming home to be part of the biggest football family in the world,” he stated.
“I am Khosified and I can’t wait to see you, and be part of the beautiful Khosination.
“My blood is gold and black. Love and peace, see you soon. Amakhosi4Life.”
