French superstar Kylian Mbappe has called his mega transfer from Paris Saint-Germain to Real Madrid a “dream come true”.
Los Blancos announced the arrival of Mbappe on Monday evening, with the news breaking the club’s website.
Mbappe, 25, joins Real Madrid just two days after they lifted their 15th UEFA Champions League trophy, making them an even harder force to be reckoned.
The move comes 12 years after a 14-year-old Mbappe visited Madrid’s training grounds for the first time, then driven around by none other than Zinedine Zidane and also got to meet his idol Cristiano Ronaldo.
On Monday, Mbappe took to social media to express his excitement about the free transfer after penning a deal until 2029.
“A dream come true, so happy and proud to join the club of my dream Real Madrid,” he wrote.
“Nobody can understand how excited I am right now. Can’t wait to see you, Madridistas, and thanks for your unbelievable support.
“Hala Madrid!”
