Middendorp To Hold Talks With New Club

Ernst Middendorp is set to hold talks with DStv Premiership side Sekhukhune United after his Cape Town Spurs exit.

On Monday, Spurs announced Middendorp’s exit after mutually agreeing to part ways with the club, after the German tactician spent seven months in the Mother City.

Middendorp found Spurs deep in the relegation zone with just four points from 16 games when he was appointed in November.

The former Maritzburg United mentor managed to get 20 points in the 19 games he was in charge of but that wasn’t enough to save Spurs from relegation.

Information received by iDiski Times, states that Sekhukhune set their sights on Middendorp as one of the potential candidates for their head coach position and are ready to hold talks.

But there have also been links with Steve Komphela, who is currently at Lamontville Golden Arrows.

Babina Noko placed coach Lehlohonolo Seema on special leave and his current contract is set to expire by the end of June as it seems unlikely he’ll return to the club.

United qualified for CAF Confederation Cup for the second successive season after finishing fourth in the DStv Premiership.
