Lamontville Golden Arrows has secured the services of University Of Pretoria goalkeeper Edward Maova.
The Namibian international, who has 11 caps under his belt for the Brave Warriors, arrived in South Africa back in 2018 to join AmaTuks.
He has previously turned out for Royal Eagles (now Royal AM), TS Sporting and Pretoria Callies – all in the Motsepe Foundation Championship.
Maova returned to Tuks at the beginning of the 2023/24 campaign and helped the side to finish in PSL promotional/playoffs spot. He also aided them to reach the Nedbank Cup quarterfinals.
Despite numerous media reports linking him with a shock move to Kaizer Chiefs, information gathered by this publication states that the Otjiwarongo-born shot-stopper has agreed terms with Arrows ahead of the new season.
Maova will work very closely with newly-roped in goalkeeper coach Marcos Mashilo who joined Abafana Bes’thende from Mamelodi Sundowns this week.
Arrows are also set to welcome back Ugandan international goalkeeper Ismail Watenga on loan from Masandawana, as reported by iDiski Times.
