Esperance Sportive de Tunis are said to have shown interest in Orlando Pirates head coach Jose Riveiro before appointing Laurențiu Reghecampf this month.
The well-travelled Romanian found success in his home country with Steaua București and in the Gulf with Al Hilal and Al Wehda replacing Miguel Cardoso on 5 November.
But sources close to the club confirmed to iDiski Times that Riveiro was on the shortlist but were informed by representatives that Riveiro had no interest in leaving Pirates for a move to Taraji.
Riveiro is currently in his third season at the Buccaneers, with five trophies already to his name with three consecutive MTN8 titles and two Nedbank Cup crowns.

With Pirates currently leading the Betway Premiership standings after recording seven out of seven wins, and in the CAF Champions League group stages, the Spaniard’s project appears to be peaking, and given the success, it comes as no surprise to see him rebuff the recent advances.
