AmaZulu have announced they have parted ways with former Kaizer Chiefs left-back Sibusiso Mabiliso.
Mabiliso, 24, joined Usuthu after he was released by Chiefs at the end of the 2021/22 season.
But what initially looked like a dream return after he stared at Usuthu under Benni McCarthy, hasn’t really worked out this time around.
Mabiliso only made six games in total since returning to Kwa-Zulu Natal, with two of them coming this season, leading to AmaZulu to part ways with the defender.
“We are grateful for the incredible journey on and off the field with Sibusiso Mabiliso,” the club stated on Monday.
“After thoughtful discussions and mutual consent, we’ve decided to part ways. Thank you for the unforgettable moments and we wish you all the success in your next chapter!”
Mabiliso himself added: “I would like to thank the AmaZulu FC President, the Management, my teammates, the coaching staff and the supporters for welcoming me back with open arms at Usuthu. I am very grateful for everything and the experience. Wishing the team all the best for the remainder of the season.”
Earlier on Monday, AmaZulu confirmed the arrival of Sifiso Ngobeni on loan from Mamelodi Sundowns.
