Arsenal have announced the signing of Spain international Martin Zubimendi from Real Sociedad on a long-term deal.
The 26-year-old midfielder will wear the number 36 shirt after making 236 appearances in all competitions at first-team level after being promoted from Sociedad’s academy.
Zubimendi becomes Mikel Arteta’s first summer signing with more arrivals expected in the coming days as the Gunners look to finally get their hands on the English Premier League crown after finishing second in their past three campaigns.
