Official: Ex-Chiefs Defender Unveiled By New PSL Club

Sekhukhune United have unveiled former Kaizer Chiefs defender Njabulo ‘Roadblock’ Ngcobo as their latest signing after the expiry of his contract at Naturena.

Ngcobo, 30, joined Chiefs as reigning Defender of the Season from Moroka Swallows in July 2021, but somewhat never lived up to the expectations at the Glamour Boys.

He made 45 appearances across three seasons, scoring one goal but started only nine matches this past campaign.

After Chiefs announced his exit, Babina Noko have now announced his arrival, as reported by iDiski Times, along with Joseph Mphaga.

“Sekhukhune United are delighted to announce the signing of defender Njabulo Ngcobo and winger Joseph Mphaga.”

Ngcobo and Mphaga are the latest official signings unveiled by Sekhukhune, following the likes of Thabang Monare, Keletso Makgalwa and Relebohile Mokhuoane, while the club also released 13 players.

Meanwhile, German tactician Peter Hyballa has taken over as new head coach.
