Cape Town City have unveiled former Maritzburg United striker Amadou Soukouna as replacement for Khanyisa Mayo.
Mayo, the club’s top goalscorer over the last two seasons, left the club to join Algerian giants CR Belouizdad, leaving a void in City’s attack.
However, the Citizens have now finally unveiled Soukouna, who initially had some visa issues, as first reported by iDiski Times.
Soukouna, 32, played for the Team of Choice for two seasons between 2021 and 2023 before departing for Asia.
The former France youth international recently left Thailand giants True Bangkok United after one season with the club. He made 12 appearances and scored three goals.
The 32-year-old striker scored 11 goals in 52 games during his first stint in the country with Maritzburg United.
