Ahead of the Motsepe Foundation Championship campaign, Cape Town Spurs have announced six new signings, including a former Kaizer Chiefs player.
Ernst Middendorp’s team begin their campaign on the weekend away against AmaTuks.
Spurs have now confirmed six signings.
Former Chiefs player Keletso Sifama joins on loan from Sekhukhune United. He will reunite with Middendorp who he worked with at the Amakhosi and on loan at Maritzburg United.
Former Bafana Bafana midfielder Daylon Claasen rejoins his childhood club after two years in Egypt. Claasen, who spent many years in Europe, left Maritzburg United two years ago to join Wadi Degla.
Another returning to Ikamva is goalkeeper Tawfeeq Salie, who played for Ajax Cape Town as a youngster. The 33-year-old was at Ikamva from when he was a teenager but would move on to play at clubs like Maritzburg United, Cape Town All Stars, Cape Umoya and Steenberg United.
Former Bidvest Wits, Cape Town City and TS Galaxy fullback Ebrahim Seedat, having recovered from a long term injury also joins.
25-year-old Ghanaian winger Enock Atta Agyei, formerly of Horoya, but who was at Al Ahly-Bhengazi last season, has also signed; as has South African/Portuguese midfielder, Angelo Barrote, who has played in lower divisions in Portugal.
