Betway Premiership side Durban City confirmed the exit of DStv Diski Challenge head coach Daine Klate.
Following the exit the of Gavin Hunt, Durban City confirmed the departure of Klate after they mutually agreed to part ways with immediate effect.
“Durban City FC can confirm the departure of DStv Diski Challenge head coach, Daine Klate,” the club stated on Thursday.
“The club and coach Klate have mutually agreed to part ways, effective immediately.
“Klate played a key role in establishing our DDC squad during the club’s transition into South Africa’s top flight. His dedication and expertise were vital in building a competitive foundation for our youth team.
Club chairman, Farook Kadodia stated: “On behalf of everyone at Durban City FC< I sincerely thank Daine for his exemplary professionalism and commitment during this foundational period. We wish him every success in the next chapter of his career.”
Klate leaves City in 13th place with 13 points after 13 games. Having given opportunities to the likes of Luphumlo Sifumba and Odwa Nyulu whom both already played for the Durban City’s first-team.
City are expected to appoint a new DDC coach before beginning of 2026.
