South African striker Fagrie Lakay has joined Libyan giants Al Ahli Tripoli SC on a two-year contract.

The 29-year-old was most recently on the books of Ceramica Cleopatra FC in the Egyptian Premier League having joined them permanently from Pyramids FC in 2025.

At Cleopatra FC, Lakay netted 12 goals with 13 assists in 61 matches across all competitions and joins a list of high-profile players to join the ambitious Libyan side.

They have already snapped up Jean Claude Girumugisha, Fiston Mayele, Blati Toure, Mohamed Tougai, Hocine Dehiri, Mostafa Shakshak and Mamadou Camara.

The club has now unveiled Lakay on Friday morning as they look to go all out in the 2026/27 CAF Champions League campaign.
