New Kaizer Chiefs signing Khanyisa Mayo has received a historical shirt number at Amakhosi.
Mayo, 27, arrived at Naturena on Friday after completing his one-year loan from CR Belouizdad.
On Saturday morning, Chiefs revealed that Mayo will don the number three shirt during the 2025/26 season.
The number was last worn by Mduduzi Mdantsane but before him long-term captain Eric Mathoho donned the number for many years.
The defender was wearing it between 2012/13 and 2022/23.
