Orlando Pirates have announced the signing of Andre De Jong from Stellenbosch FC, as previously reported by this publication.
The New Zealand international had developed into an integral part of the Stellies squad since joining the club from Royal AM in January 2023.
He’s featured in 103 games, scoring 16 goals, with 11 assists, featuring prominently in the 10 role in Steve Barker’s system.
His performances have not gone unnoticed and naturally attracted attention and Pirates first made an official move on Deadline Day in September, however then Stellenbosch were not able to secure a replacement.
But the deal has now gone through, with Pirates unveiling De Jong as their latest signing.
