Orlando Pirates have announced that forward Boitumelo Radiopane will spend another season on loan at Cape Town Spurs.
‘Radioman’ spent 2022/23 on loan at Spurs after he had an impressive season at Pirates’ DStv Diski Challenge side, finishing as a top goalscorer with 24 goals in 2021/22.
Unfortunately the youngster couldn’t do pre-season with the club as he picked up an injury on Bafana duty and only joined later.
After his return to the field was delayed, the 21-year-old scored his first goal in the colours of Spurs in January against Casric Stars.
Radiopane has scored seven goals for Spurs in the 2022/23 season, which make him the third top goalscorer in the Urban Warriors team after Ashley Cupido with 16 goals and Therlo Moosa with 10 strikes.
He picked up another injury in the first PSL Promotional Play-Off game against Casric, and will likely be sidelined for around three months, while his initial one-year loan expired in the end of June.
It has now been confirmed that Radiopane will stay for 2023/24 season at Spurs on loan as they will be competing in the elite league, after both Pirates and Spurs agreed on the deal.
“Boitumelo Radiopane: returns to Cape Town Spurs on a season-long loan,” the club said via a statement.
