Cape Town Spurs have wasted no time in replacing Vasili Manousakis as assistant coach, announcing former Orlando Pirates player (and assistant) Benson Mhlongo to the role.
Manousakis parted ways with the club on the weekend and is on his way to join Benni McCarthy’s technical team with the Kenyan national side.

Spurs who are in a battle at the bottom of the log in the Motsepe Foundation Championship, have acted swiftly to appoint the 44-year-old. They are currently 14th and have 10 games remaining in the season to secure their professional status.
Mhlongo has experience as an assistant, at both Pirates and Black Leopards, while also had spells as head coach with TS Sporting in the second tier.
