SuperSport United have announced the arrival of Kaizer Chiefs midfielder Phathutshezdo Nange.

Nange, 31, joined Chiefs from Stellenbosch in July 201 and made 31 appearances for Amakhosi, but the club opted not to extend his on 30 June 2022 expiring contract.

On Wednesday, SuperSport announced the signing of Nange, who joins the club on a free transfer after penning a two-year deal.

“SuperSport United are pleased to confirm the arrival of Phathutshezdo Nange from Kaizer Chiefs on a two-year-contract,” the club stated.

“Nange reunites with Matsatsantsa head coach Gavin Hunt after spending a season together at the former PSL outfit Bidvest Wits before joining Chiefs.”

Nange himself is eager to reunite with Gavin Hunt after already featuring under the Matsatsantsa coach at Bidvest Wits.

“I would like to thank SuperSport United for the opportunity they gave me. It is a great feeling joining SuperSport and I’m looking forward and excited to start a new journey on a positive way,” he added.

“I worked with coach Gavin before and we had a clean working relationship. He is a winning coach by nature and good for his players because we all want to win at the end of the day.”

SuperSport become Nange’s fifth club following Black Leopards, Wits, Stellenbosch and Chiefs.
