Orlando Pirates have completed the signing of highly-rated All Stars midfielder Siphelo Baloni, iDiski Times has learnt.
The 23-year-old joined All Stars FC at the beginning of 2022/23 season from JDR Stars, making 25 appearances for Umlilo and scoring three goals.
Baloni has been identified as one of the best midfielders in the Motsepe Foundation Championship with consistent displays over the last few seasons.
It has reached this publication that Baloni signed a three-year deal for the Buccaneers after impressing the side in the Nedbank Cup round of 32, where he played the full 90 minutes in the 2-0 defeat.
The emerging midfielder, who is comfortable as a 10, 8 and 6, is expected to the team up with the squad for pre-season.
The Sea Robbers have also already completed the signing of Melusi Buthelezi from TS Galaxy, as reported by iDiski Times last month.
They will be participating in five competitions in the upcoming season after qualifying for the CAF Champions League, while the Premier Soccer League will also introduce a new Carling Knockout Cup.
As a consequence, Pirates are expected to make several more moves in the market, but will also release some deadwood from their current squad.
