The future of Orlando Pirates defender Thabiso Sesane remains uncertain as the 2025/26 season comes to an end.
The 25-year-old centre-back has missed a lot of action this season due to injuries that have plagued his run, after he was one of the key players last campaign.
Sesane has only played one game in 2025/26 so far — in the Nedbank Cup — playing only 10 minutes when Ezimnyama Ngenkani triumphed 4-1 over Tshakhuma Tsha Madzivhandila (TTM).
Meanwhile, against Casric Stars in the Round of 16, Sesane remained an unused substitute on the bench.
iDiski Times has been led to believe that the club is set to take a decision on the defender, with a loan also being an option considering the age of the player.
Sesane has been competing with captain Nkosinathi Sibisi and Lebone Seema for the right centre-back role. This position has primarily been played by Seema, with Sibisi playing on the left following the exit of Mbekezeli Mbokazi.
Meanwhile, there’s still Tapelo Xoki, who has been recovering after being involved in a serious motor vehicle accident in August 2025.
In addition, the club has also been linked with Golden Arrows captain Ayanda Jiyane, who also plays as a right centre-back.
