Sekhukhune United have secured the signature of Papi Zothwane as assistant coach to Cedric Kaze ahead of the 2026/27 campaign.
iDiski Times first reported that Babina Noko were aiming to lure Zothwane to assist in their technical set-up and the latest information received is that Sekhukhune have finally secured the former Richards Bay co-coach as assistant alongside Paulos Masehe to head coach Kaze.
The new technical team at Sekhukhune is coming together slowly but the appointment of the former Mamelodi Sundowns player leaves question marks around Andre Arendse who was assistant coach to Eric Tinkler before the latter’s departure was confirmed.
Babina Noko finished the 2025/26 season in fifth place, missing an opportunity to play continental football in 2026/27 season. The aim with the current technical team is to finish in the top four, something they’ve done in 2023/24 and 2024/25 season.
Kaze and Zothwane are both expected to report at Sekhukhune camp on the 1st of July ahead of their pre-season.
