Stellies Midfield Ace Set To Leave Club

Nhlanhla Mgaga will depart Stellenbosch FC at the end of June 2024 after the club opted not to extend his stay for a further year.

Mgaga, 28, joined the Cape Winelands outfit in July 2022 on a two-year deal with an option to extend after he had an impressive season at Baroka FC. He made 63 appearances for Stellies in his two years at the club, scoring one goal and providing five assists.

He formed part of the Stellies side that won the Carling Knockout Cup in December after they edged out TS Galaxy in the final. He also aided the club this past season as they qualified for the CAF Confederation Cup for the first time in the club’s history.
