Stellenbosch FC are edging closer to completing the signing of Kabelo Dlamini from Orlando Pirates in what looks like a potential swap deal between the two clubs.

iDiski Times have it on good authority that Stellenbosch are on the verge of completing the signing of Kabelo Dlamini from Pirates in deal that could see Faiz Abrahams and Dublin Boon joining the Buccaneers, with talks still ongoing between both clubs.

Dlamini has been with Pirates for six seasons and made 187 appearances in all competitions, scoring 21 goals and setting up 23 assists. He won one league title, four MTN8, one Carling Knockout and two Nedbank Cups.

Meanwhile, Abrahams has spent some time overseas when he was on loan at Hapoel Kfar Saba in Israel, playing 11 matches during which he scored three goals and laid three assists.

However, after six months on loan in Israel he returned to South Africa after going AWOL from the club. Stellies needed to pay a fee to terminate the loan or risk they player facing a ban due to breach of contract.

The 21-year-old only featured three times for Stellies under Hunt upon his subsequent return but remains in high regard due to his pace and potential shown in the DStv Diski Challenge and U20 national team, where he won the Africa Cup of Nations with South Africa.

Meanwhile, goalkeeper Boon, who is yet to make his professional debut, is also set for Pirates – likely part of the deal. The New Zealander joined Stellies last season as a back-up goalkeeper in the DStv Diski Challenge.
