It’s Transfer Deadline Day in South Africa and several clubs might still be active before the window shuts at midnight, with Rulani Mokwena still keen on a new addition, while Kaizer Chiefs might also announce a Deadline Day signing.
Keep up to date with the latest rumours and confirmed deals, as iDiski Times will be updating this article throughout the day.
Mokwena has expressed his desire for another publicly in recent weeks due to the club’s injury crisis.
On Thursday, he again confirmed that he made the recommendation to sign another player, but he also admitted that the decision is in the hands of the club’s Sporting Director Flemming Berg.
“The club knows my opinion on it and I had said it was only necessitated by the injuries we had up front and the discussions were elevated to that level,” he explained.
“I would like to leave it there because it’s now the sporting directors space, there’s things we want in life that we don’t always get.
“It’s about the availability and so many things but I’ll leave that to the Sporting Director. We’ll see what happens at the end of the window tomorrow.”
Meanwhile, Kaizer Chiefs could also become active for the last time this window and officially announce the addition of Luke Fleurs, who has been assessed by the club.
SuperSport United coach Gavin Hunt confirmed that Fleurs has left Matsatsantsa, opening the door for a move to Naturena, where he was spotted training this week.
But, even in case Chiefs won’t sign him on Friday, he could still join at a later stage because he is not bound by the deadline due to being a free agent.
There also some others rumours still flying around, with Orlando Pirates potentially offloading some of their players on loan, but it remains to be seen which deals will be announced today.
As always, the iDiski Times team will keep you posted.
