Three PSL Sides To Feature In Mangosuthu Legacy Cup

AmaZulu, Richards Bay, Royal AM and eSwatini side Mbabane Swallows will feature in the 2023 Prince Mangosuthu Legacy Cup later this month.

The pre-season tournament is a tribute to the struggle icon of Prince Mangosuthu Buthelezi, who is the former leader of the Inkatha Freedom Party (IFP).

The tournament, which started in 2017, was won by AmaZulu who beat Richards Bay FC in the final last year.

The now defunct Bloemfontein Celtic were the first to win it in 2017 and they were followed by Mamelodi Sundowns in 2018. It then returned last year where AmaZulu succeeded Sundowns.

The tournament will be staged on 29 July at Ulundi Stadium in the Zululand district in the north of KwaZulu-Natal.

It will be preceded by a number of events such as coaching clinics and a gala dinner on the eve of the event.

Kaizer Chiefs legends, which will be made of Brian Baloyi, Derrick Spencer and others, will also play MC Tshatha (a group of legends, including various artists) on the day as part of the entertainment.

Second semi-final: AmaZulu vs Swallows
