Kaizer Chiefs Ladies have missed out on promotion despite doing their bit by beating UJ 1-0 on Saturday.
However, Wits University have won the race for the promotional playoffs spot after beating JVW 2-0 at Sturrock Park.
Amakhosazana beat fourth-placed UJ Ladies at the Naturena village thanks to a goal by Refilwe Maseko, ending their inaugural campaign on a high.
They have gone 16 games unbeaten, and claimed an incredible 15 wins during this run.
But it wasn’t enough, as Wits Ladies secured the promotional playoff spot after ending the SAFA Women’s Provincial League in second place behind Mamelodi Sundowns’ B team.
Sundowns, though, are not able to gain promotion due to their first team featuring in the Hollywoodbets Super League.
Masandawana, who beat Mito Stars Ladies 4-0 in their final game, finished on 73 points, one ahead of Wits, with Chiefs ending their first campaign on 70 points.
