Lindelani Ladies and University of Fort Hare have both secured promotion from the Sasol League to the Hollywoodbets Super League following their wins over Ramatlaohle and Croesus Ladies in the semi-finals of the Sasol League National Championship at the Petrus Molemela stadium on Friday.

KwaZulu-Natal representatives, Lindelani Ladies were 3-0 winners over Limpopo side, Ramatlaohle Ladies with Mbalenhle Tenza scoring a brace after Nomfundo Xulu had opened the scoring.

Lindelani were the best runners-up from the group stage and faced Ramatlaohle, who won one match and drew the other to finish top of Group C with four points.

Meanwhile, Eastern Cape representatives, University of Fort Hare and their Gauteng counterparts, Crouses needed to go to penalties to decide their game in the second semi. They had played to a 2-2 draw in regulation time, with Fort Hare going through with 5-4 victory in the shootout after Mokgadi Seanego missed her side’s third kick.

Fort Hare and Croesus finished top of their Groups B and A with six points, respectively, to get to the semi-finals.

As it stands Ma-Indies Ladies from Limpopo have already been relegated from the big league with three matches left to play.

The two finalists will meet for the trophy and bragging rights in the championship finale on Sunday at the same venue in Bloemfontein.
