Former Kaizer Chiefs striker Efmamjjasond González is currently in red-hot form in China, netting 10 goals in 12 appearances in the League One.
Gonazalez, 27, has become a bit of a journeyman since leaving Amakhosi in June 2024. He first returned to real Santa Cruz following his loan spell at Chiefs.
Six months later, he moved to Always Ready in January 2025. Despite scoring 11 goals in 13 appearances for Bolivian giants, he made his first venture to China in July that year, joining SJZ Gongfu on loan for six months.
Upon returning to Always Ready, he completed another loan, this time to Beitar Jerusalem in Isreal. When his latest loan finished, he was released by his mother club and returned to China for a second time, joining NT Zhiyun.
It is at Zhiyun, where he has found his scoring boots and has netted 10 goals in the 2026/27 campaign so far.
His last goal, the winner in a 1-0 over Ningbo FC has sent his side into second spot on the log with five games remaining. Should Zhiyun be able to stay in that spot, they would fain promotion to the Chinese Super League.
