Banyana Banyana have announced their starting line-up for the second leg, second round clash of the 2028 LA Olympic Games Qualifiers against Madagascar at Free State Stadium.

Desiree Ellis’ charges will be looking to seal the tie and progress to the third round after thrashing the Malagasy 4-0 in the first leg last week. The coach started a fairly youthful side in the first leg with Ronnel Donnelly leading the attack.

The second leg is also at the same venue scheduled to kick-off at 18:00 and this time with fans allowed to attend. Last week, the islanders requested there be no supporters at the stadium because it was their home game.

The 2022 African champions have missed the last two Olympic Games and will not want to take anything for granted with three more qualifying rounds still to come.

The more senior players could start Tuesday’s game as most didn’t feature last week or come on as second half subs. There’s also a new face in camp, Mamelodi Sundowns’ Lelona Daweti who has replaced the injured Bonolo Mokoma of JVW FC.

The qualifiers are also a measure of how the team is looking with the first round of the FIFA Women’s World Cup qualifying playoffs coming in November.

This is how Banyana lines-up:

Banyana Starting XI: Swart, Zondi, Pila, Mhlongo, Maponya, Gamede, Motau, Cesane, Moodaly-Salgado, Magaia, Kgatlana

Subs: Dlamini, Moletsane, Magama, Dhlamini, Qashani, October, Motlhalo, Daweto, Donnelley
