Former Mamelodi Sundowns and Golden Arrows head coach Manqoba Mngqithi has achieved another milestone with Young Africans after qualifying for the CAF Champions League group stages.
Mngqithi, who started his rein at Yanga with a win in the Community Shield, has now again had reason to smile.
His side made light work of Madagascan side CFFA to qualify for the group stages of CAF’s elite club-competition.
On Wednesday, Yanga won the second leg of their second preliminary round clash 4-1 to progress 8-1 on aggregate.
Ibrahim Kazimoto scored the opener after 27 minutes, before a quick-fire second-half brace by Selemani Mwalimu in the 49th and 53rd minute put the hosts out of reach.
The visitors pulled one back after 75 minutes, before teenager, Juma Issa Abushuri put the cherry on the top in the 82nd minute.
Young Africans became the first team to qualify for the CAFCL group stages, with their second leg match already played this Wednesday.
