South African attacker Devin Titus helped Maghreb Fes beat ASEC Mimosas 2-1 to progress into the CAF Champions League group stages on Sunday night.

The tie fell 3-2 on aggregate in favour of the Moroccan champions after the first match ended 1-1.

Tshegofatso Mabasa made the matchday squad but started from the bench and was introduced later in the match.

In the first leg, Titus notched up the assist as Maghreb Fes were held to a 1-1 draw by the Ivorians by conceding late in that tie.

Titus took his tally to six goal contributions in nine matches since making the move to the Moroccan champions.

The former Stellenbosch FC attacker set up Noureddine Oussama for the opener, but his goal was cancelled out by a late equaliser from the visitors who scored in the 93rd minute through Bamba Souhalio.

In the Botola Pro, Maghreb Fes finds themselves in sixth place with seven points, five adrift of first-placed KACM, after four matches, though the former has played a game less.
