Radebe Motivated By Compact Cup Selection

Kaizer Chiefs midfielder Sabelo Radebe has thanked the fans who voted for him to be part of the DStv Compact Cup.

Radebe was selected as part of the Inland 2 Warriors Squad along with Chiefs teammates Itumeleng Khune, Bruce Bvuma, Nkosingiphile Ngcobo, Njabulo Ngcobo, Njabulo Blom, Keagan Dolly and Diski Challenge forward, Mduduzi Shabalala.

Radebe made his debut for Chiefs at the end of last season, and also has made one official appearance this season.

But despite limited appearances the 21-year-old, who impressed during the Carling Black Label Cup pre-season match, has done enough to impress the supporters who selected the Compact Cup squads.

“It’s a nice feeling to be recognised by the fans,” Radebe told the Chiefs media department.

“It is also highly motivating to be selected for this competition. I must thank the fans for voting and giving me this opportunity to play. I will give my best.”

Radebe joined his Chiefs teammates back at training this week, and says he wants to keep working hard.

“We are back at training,” Radebe said.

“We are gradually getting our fitness back. It has not been easy, but we are making progress and trying our best with the help of our coaches.”

“My focus is to keep working hard in training and keeping my fitness level up.

“I also studied last year and intend to do so in the future again. It’s very important to plan for the future.”
