Manchester City have confirmed the signing of Erling Haaland from Borussia Dortmund.
The 21-year-old joins the Citizens after the Premier League side activated his buyout clause, which is understood to be €60 million, as per The Athletic.
“Manchester City can confirm that we have reached an agreement in principle with Borussia Dortmund for the transfer of striker Erling Haaland to the Club on 1st July 2022. The transfer remains subject to the Club finalising terms with the player,” Man City stated on Tuesday.
The likes of Real Madrid, FC Barcelona, Bayern Munich and Paris Saint-Germain were said to be also interested in his services, but he opted to join Pep Guardiola’s side.
Haaland joined Dortmund in January 2020 and has since scored 85 goals in 88 appearances for the club.
