Cristiano Ronaldo has commented on his shock move to Saudi Pro League side Al Nassr.
The 37-year-old penned a two-and-a-half year deal with Al Nassr, who announced his signing on Friday evening.
Ronaldo was free to join any side of his wish after he agreed to mutually terminate his Manchester United contract.
He has now stated that the vision of new club inspired him to make the switch to Saudi Arabia.
“I’m thrilled for a new experience in a different league and a different country, the vision that Al Nassr has is very inspiring,” he stated.
“I’m very excited to join my teammates, and to help the team to achieve more success.”
Al Nassr will be Ronaldo’s fifth senior club after Sporting, Manchester United, Real Madrid and Juventus.
Al Nassr currently sit in second place in the Saudi Pro League and face 15th-place Al Khaleej on Saturday – with Ronaldo said to be officially unveiled after the match.
