Percy Tau has secured his sixth trophy with Al Ahly after the club won the 2022/23 Egyptian Premier League title on Monday.
Al Ahly weren’t even in action but benefited from Pyramids’ 2-1 defeat to Ceramica Cleopatra.
The loss has made it impossible for Pyramids to close the eight-point gap Al Ahly have opened on the second-placed side.
Pyramids sit on 67 points after 32 games, while Al Ahly have collected 75 points from just 29 games.
Marcel Koller’s side are playing a ground-breaking campaign, being still unbeaten, while drawing just six of their 29 games.
They have also only conceded seven goals so far and now secured their 43rd Egyptian Premier League title, and their first since 2019/20.
It is Tau’s sixth trophy with Al Ahly, adding to his two Egyptian Super Cups, one Egyptian Cup, one CAF Super Cup and one CAF Champions League.Â
