Kaizer Chiefs midfielder Sibongiseni Mthethwa and Orlando Pirates striker Zakhele Lepasa are among six players ruled out of DStv Premiership mid-week fixtures.
Mthethwa, 29, a marquee signing from Stellenbosch is suspended after four yellow card offences this season, between his former club and Amakhosi.
He will be ruled out for the clash against Cape Town Spurs on Wednesday at FNB Stadium, in a fixture that will be played behind closed doors.
Meanwhile, Lepasa, will not be available, also due to an accumulation of yellow cards, when Pirates host Sekhukhune United at Orlando Stadium tomorrow evening.
Pirates will be reeling, after scoring only five goals in 11 games across all competitions and being eliminated from the Carling Knockout tournament to Richards Bay.
Evidence Makgopa is now expected to retain his place in the starting line-up with Lepasa unavailable for head coach Jose Riveiro.
In-form SuperSport United, who are two points behind league leaders Mamelodi Sundowns, albeit having played two games more are without left-back Ronaldo Pfumbidzai, a huge blow for coach Gavin Hunt with Onismor Bhasera also out due to injury.
They take on high-flying Polokwane City on Wednesday evening at the Peter Mokaba Stadium and with a chance of moving to the summit as Sundowns fixture against AmaZulu has been postponed due to their African Football League commitments.
Chippa United have three suspensions for their game against Cape Town City in the Mother City with Elmo Kambindu, Stanley Nwabali and Thabiso Lebitso all suspended for one game.
