AmaZulu have officially parted ways with defender Tercious Malepe, who has attracted interest from Europe.
Malepe, 26, is an Orlando Pirates youth product but never made it into the first team.
Following loans to Moroka Swallows, the then-Ajax Cape Town and Chippa United twice, Malepe spent one season in Ukraine with FK Minaj before returning to the DStv Premiership with the KZN-based outfit in August 2021.
But the former U23 captain fell down the pecking order at Usuthu upon the arrival of head coach Pablo Franco Martin and was one of the highest earners at the club.
As a consequence a mutual termination was agreed upon, as he seeks first-team football.
SuperSport United and Richards Bay were credited with interest but declined to make a move for the versatile defender and it appears a return to Europe could be on the cards.
The 26-year-old has attracted interest from Cypriot giants Anorthosis Famagusta and is now available as a free agent after parting ways with AmaZulu.
