Chippa United co-coach Thabo September has stated that they are still busy at rebuilding the confidence of striker Bienvenu Eva Nga after his Orlando Pirates exit.
Eva Nga joined Pirates at the beginning of 2022/23 season after scoring 10 goals for Chili Boys and becoming the club’s top goal scorer in 2021/22 season.
The Cameroonian, though,didn’t have much impact at Bucs, as he only scored one goal in 17 appearances.
In the recent transfer window, Chippa re-signed their former talisman with hope of reviving his career and get the best out of him.
The 31-year-old hit the ground running, as he scored on his second debut for Chili Boys against NC Professionals in the Nedbank Cup last 32 and a week later he came off the bench to set up Craig Martin for the equaliser against Stellenbosch FC.
“He is enjoying football again, he is happy to be here,” September told iDiski Times.
“We hope for that [goals], he created a goal now to Martin. He scored for us in the Nedbank Cup, so what we are seeing and getting from him is positive.
“We just need to build him in terms of confidence because he is coming from a tough spell at Orlando Pirates.”
Chippa return to action on Wednesday when they will host Richards Bay at 19:30.
