Pitso Mosimane’s Abha FC have collected an important 1-0 win over Al-Wehda on Thursday evening.
It was Mosimane’s fifth official game in charge and already their second win, ending a three-match losing streak against Wehda.
Mosimane’s men received an early boost when Waleed Bakshween was sent off for the visitors after 22 minutes.
Just 12 minutes later, Ziyad Al-Sahafi scored the opener for Abha FC and it would remain the only goal of the day.
Despite the three points, Abha stayed in 17th place on the log but cut their gap to the non-relegation spots to just two points.
They sit just two points behind Al Riyadh, who they will face in 10 days.
