Barker – Milford Players Will Want To Impress

Stellenbosch head coach Steve Barker says that the Milford players will be out to impress again when they meet on Friday night, after already beating Kaizer Chiefs in the previous round.

Barker’s team will take on the second division team at the Princess Magogo stadium, with kick-off at 7pm.

With this being Milford’s second game on television, Barker said it will be another opportunity for some Milford players to showcase their talent, and perhaps impress Premiership teams.

“That normally happens,” Barker said ahead of the game.

“When you’re a lower division team, they don’t often get the opportunity to be on television and televised so to have played Chiefs, and now another opportunity, only match on Friday evening, it’s a great opportunity for them.

“And definitely sure that there’s a lot of players that want to impress It’s always amazing when you play some of the lower division teams like against Callies, how many agents are sending you numbers or names to look out for.

“So, ja, it’s a great platform for players from Milford to showcase their abilities.”
