Mamelodi Sundowns legend Themba Zwane and Sammy Seabi have seen their one-year options taken up.
Zwane, 34, was set to be out of contract this month but the club have taken up their option to retain him for the 2024/25 season.
While his influence is undoubted as one of the greatest ever players in DStv Premiership history, his two goals and four assists in 41 games last season were well below his usual standards while he became an integral part of the Bafana Bafana set-up.
Speculation had been in overdrive that he could be set for exit, 13 years since the club signed him from Vardos.
However, this website has been informed that Zwane will remain at the club, along with Seabi, whose contracts were also due to expire.
Both were part of the squad that returned for pre-season which has been clouded by the news that head coach Rulani Mokwena has parted ways with the club.
