Chiefs Seal Deal For Second Signing

Kaizer Chiefs have reached an agreement with TS Galaxy for the services of Rwandan international goalkeeper Fiacre Ntwari.

Ntwari, 24, arrived in South Africa a year ago from Rwandan giants APR FC after impressing Tim Sukazi when Rwanda played against Benin in the AFCON qualifiers, in a match where he made several top saves and was named Man of the Match.

The Galaxy chairman wasted no time and he quickly snatched the keeper as a replacement for Melusi Buthelezi, whom they lost to Orlando Pirates.

Ntwari had stiff competition at Galaxy with Vasilije Kolak, but the Rwandan international made his debut against Mamelodi Sundowns in the Carling Knockout Cup when he saved two penalties to send Galaxy to the quarter-finals.

Ever since he never looked back, as he kept on producing good performance between the sticks. He played 24 matches and kept nine clean sheets, conceded just 23 times.

This publication understands that Galaxy reached an agreement with Chiefs for the services of Ntwari. The 24-year-old signed a three-year contract with an option to extend. He has applied for his VISA with the hope that he gets it on time so that can join Chiefs in Turkiye.

Ntwari is the second signing for Chiefs after Bongani Sam joined the side from Orlando Pirates. Amakhosi aren’t done yet in the market, as they still look to strengthen their squad for the upcoming season.
