Seema Reveals What Mbule Did With R100k Carling Cheque

Sekhukhune United head coach Lehlohonolo Seema has hailed “genuine guy” midfielder Sipho Mbule for his great gesture after he split his R100,000 Carling Knockout Cup winnings amongst the players.

“The Master Chef”, who is currently on a season-long loan from Mamelodi Sundowns, opened his goalscoring account for Babina Noko on Tuesday night in their 2-0 Betway Premiership win over Richards Bay.

Speaking to the media after the match, Seema has been raving about Mbule since his arrival at the club and how he has integrated himself into the group.

“He has done something that you can see he’s a genuine guy,” Seema told the media.

“He won Man-of-the-match in the Carling Cup and trust you, believe you me, he took the 50,000 and the 50,000 he shared amongst the players.

“So, that shows that he’s a team player. He knew that he only had about a week-and-a-half but he was Man-of-the-Match.

“He had that thing in him. Being a team player, being welcomed by the group. The way he was welcomed by the technical team and he shared the money 50-50 with the teammates.

“The ones that played and the ones that did not even play, so that really touched us.

“And that is why the rewards are like this. You can see he’s playing, he’s looking happy and he’s scoring goals.

“He’s not there where we want him, but he’s a step in the right direction.

“The gesture that he did really it will take him far, and if he continues like this, he can be a very good or part of the team in our Sekhukhune team,” Seema further added.

The win for Seema’s charges moved them into third spot with three wins from five matches. The other matches ended in a draw and loss.
