South African tactician Fadlu Davids is set to take over as Young Africans head coach, replacing Manqoba Mngqithi.
Davids has been without a club since June, when he parted ways with Moroccan giants Raja Casablanca by mutual consent.
The former Simba SC coach was previously linked with a move to Yanga before the Tanzanian outfit appointed Mngqithi. However, negotiations collapsed after the two parties failed to reach an agreement over financial terms.
Mngqithi’s time at the club came to an end towards the end of October, bringing his brief three-month spell in charge to a close.
As first reported by FARPost, Davids has now reached an agreement with Yanga and is expected to become their next head coach.
Davids is no stranger to Tanzanian football, having previously coached Yanga’s fierce rivals Simba SC. During his time at Simba, he guided the club to the CAF Confederation Cup final, although they ultimately fell short of lifting the trophy.
