The Best XI of African players were announced during the Confederation of African Football awards on Monday evening.
Despite winning two awards, including the CAF Goalkeeper of the Year, Ronwen Williams missed out on the CAF Best XI of the Year.
Instead, Manchester United’s Andre Onana was named in the XI, voted for by players across the continent.
At the back, Achraf Hakimi is joined by Kalidou Koulibaly and Chancel Mbemba, while Yves Bissouma, Sofyan Amrabat, Franck Kessie and Mohammed Kudus were named in midfield.
Upfront, Mohamed Salah, Ademola Lookman and Victor Osimhen were selected, with none of the players in the Best XI currently plying their trade in Africa.
